Hercules A97-009 and A97-012 were assigned to the first detachment to the MEAO to provide transport and supply capability for operations in Iraq. They were soon joined by Hercules A97-010. In this print, A97-009 is depicted undertaking an aerial delivery mission in Western Iraq on 11 April 2003. This was the first RAAF combat airdrop since the Vietnam War.
