Hercules A97-009 and A97-012 were assigned to the first detachment to the MEAO to provide transport and supply capability for operations in Iraq. They were soon joined by Hercules A97-010.
In this print Hercules A97-012 is shown unloading an SAS vehicle during the workup period near Al Asad Air Base, Iraq, on 14 March 2003. This aircraft flew the night mission to supply Tallil Air Base, 30 March 2003.
